Create and privately share a client gallery
A gallery can start on its own. Link it to the right client when you are ready to deliver it through their portal.
Follow these steps
Create your gallery
Open Galleries and create a gallery for an existing client or leave the client unassigned. Give it a recognisable name. A standalone gallery remains private to your workspace until it is linked and published for delivery.
Upload and check completion
Add photographs or other supported files. Use the small bottom-right transfer window to review progress, pause, resume, retry or cancel. Hide only folds the window away. Wait for server-confirmed completion before treating a file as uploaded.
Choose the delivery permissions
Review publication, preview watermarks and original-download permissions. A client-linked published gallery appears in that client’s portal. Changing the assigned client unpublishes the gallery, so review it before publishing again.
Share the private access
Use Create private link to open the copy dialog for the client portal. Review the recipient and expiry before sharing. Email client is an explicit action; uploading files does not automatically email the client. Do not post a private portal link on a public page.
Review or revoke access
Check the client view using photographer preview before delivery. Preview disables client-only actions. Revoke the private link when access should end. If onward gallery sharing is enabled, clients can share that one gallery; this does not grant their entire portal to the recipient.
What to know
- Favourites help clients identify photographs. They are not a submitted final approval, payment or usage licence.
- Watermarks discourage casual copying. A website cannot guarantee prevention of screenshots or screen recordings.
- Deleted galleries move to the bin, stop uploads and remain in storage totals until permanently removed. Restoring one does not revive old links.
